Ardsley's 18-hole, par 71 golf course winds through two Rivertown properties – Irvington-on-Hudson and Dobbs Ferry. The scenic course offers the natural beauty of both flatlands and rolling hills with rock outcroppings so typical of Westchester County. Originally designed by Willie Dunn in 1896 at 1 million dollars, it was the most expensive course ever built. In 1898, Ardsley hosted the third USGA Women's Open Amateur Championship. Since then, the course gradually moved up the hill away from the Hudson River. In 1917 Donald Ross made changes, followed by Alister Mackenzie in 1928 and Robert Trent Jones in 1965. The course was totally renovated in 2005 by Ken Dye. All are distinguished golf course architects. The latest renovation greatly enhanced the beauty – and the difficulty – of the course. Three ponds were added, while the existing ponds were moved next to greens, bringing them into play to a much greater degree. Hilly lies and yawning bunkers challenge the skills of golfers at all levels. https://www.ardsleycc.org Included • Round of golf threesome (accompanied by member) • Drinks, Lunch and Post round Drinks at • Bar overlooking Hudson • Caddie fees/tips • Cart Notes Blackout dates: Mondays and weekends Member notes: you don’t need cash but may want to leave in an uber!
